My fingers ... I can't feel my fingers!
Nov. 21st, 2003 12:30 amThe new revamp of the website is nearing completion, despite the acrobatics I have to perform in order to actually upload any files to the blasted thing. It's still not perfect by any means and is devoid of content on a few of the pages but I was very keen to get the thing up and running just to see if it would work. The Fox was very complimentary about it, which was nice, but it won't be on general release (by which I mean I'm not going to actually suggest people should visit it) until I've ironed out a couple of 'issues' and completed the content.
So there's one good thing about redundancy already, it's kick-started me into doing a chore that I'd left undone for far too long. Wonder what else it will do?
Saw some cut-price solid mahogany furniture in the local paper yesterday, so I'm going to drive out to Midhurst on the morrow to take a look at a new bed, possibly a bedside cabinet and maybe even a wardrobe. My existing furniture is looking dreadfully tatty and I have a soft-spot for anything that's made of 'real' wood, as opposed to something that looks like it's been masticated and extruded by a giant wasp.
And on that happy note I shall retire to my bed which, we calculated today, has been supporting me for approximately thirty five years!
