Thanks to wsdanteWSDante for this.

I thank God that my experience of CFS is nowhere near as severe as some. I'm not housebound (because I'm lucky enough to have a car) and I'm only very rarely bedridden. I'm also incredibly fortunate to have so many very good friends who have never once left me feeling isolated. The video does give some insights into the symptoms of CFS though and, maudlin music aside, is probably worth a watch if you don't know what CFS actually is.

Today I have spent mostly in bed, which is pretty damn irritating. I rather doubt that I'll get my NaNoWriMo word quota done today but I'll try to get something done so that I don't have to play catchup too much over the next week.

Grumbles aside, I'm not feeling anywhwere near as sorry for myself as this post may lead you to believe ... I just fancy a bit of a whine every now and then.

I count myself very fortunate that I don't experience pain very often and, when I do, it is fairly short-lived. My symptoms tend to centre around fatigue, brain-fog, memory loss and mood swings. I'm about to join my local ME society (on the advice of my partner) in the hopes that they can furnish me with some ideas to take to my GP in terms of finding a specialist to take my case on.
