So, Neverwhere then
Feb. 19th, 2006 12:35 amWell the first episode of the Neverwhere LRP was today (well, technically, yesterday I suppose) and it was really quite promising. There was a very good ratio of 3 STs (refs) to 17 players and the plot was engaging enough to keep me involved throughout the session. I was very pleased with the way the High Gate concept worked out and how it interacted with the other characters. The venue fitted the campaign remarkably well (far better than I had feared it would) and provided sufficient cubbies and alcoves to allow for 'private' roleplaying whilst not being removed from the main area. The story itself is intriguing and, although it seems to be pointing in one particular direction, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it turns out to be a red herring.
In short, I'm looking forward to the next session in two months time.
There's still room in the High Gate for new folks if you're interested, the Doormen being interchangeable enough that there's no requirement to attend all of the sessions. Drop me a line if you're interested.
