So World of Warcraft has finally exceeded the capacity of my PC to run. It was going to happen sooner or later, it just happened sooner is all.
Now I need to remember what it was I did before I played MMORPGs ... if I can remember that far back!
Time to cancel my subscription and the pre-ordered Wrath of the Lich King I think.

Date: 2008-10-15 09:20 pm (UTC)I wasn't aware there were any major graphical changes in patch 3
You tried uninstalling any addons and deleting your Interface and WTF folders?
Just to check it's not the patch screwing with them and upping your memory usage?

Date: 2008-10-15 09:43 pm (UTC)The simple fact is that in order to play I need a new PC, however for the other things I do (writing, web design, etc.) what I have at the moment is just fine ... so a new PC is fairly low on my list of priorities.
