Well, it's been warmish here today ... at least according to the BBC (Gatwick airport is about five miles away from me ... if that) indeed, as I type, the temperature here is a rather uncomfortable 92.3 degrees (that's 33.5 degrees in foreign money).

I do hope that the weekend will be cooler, otherwise I foresee spending a lot of time not putting the uncomfortably warm Jagular kit on. This would be a great shame because it's very much a religious event ... but honestly, wearing all that would just be silly.

EDIT: Fixed broken <em> tags ... clearly I've spent too much time on forums today.

I say, Ponsonby

It's nice in the spring and autumn though ... actually, come to think of it, the mask and makeup are never nice ... but one has to suffer (a bit) for one's art ... at least until one remembers to play a bloody human in future.

I was considering an emergency Kamakuran Human secondary if I can rustle up some V light kit.

They are indeed full boots (albeit ones built around combat boots) and I bought mine many years ago off a gentleman called Faeg (you either know him or you don't). Faeg no longer makes the boots, but he has passed the "franchise" on to Rich Smith of Evenlode Studios (who will be at Maelstrom this weekend). Back in the mid-1990s, when I bought my boots, they cost £85; nowadays they cost (I believe) £120 ... given the elapsed time I'd say that was a bloody good deal.

I know what you mean. Although I'm playing a human, it's a matter of how few layers I can get away with to still hide an appropriate number of pistols in.

Unless the weather changes, it may end up as shirt sleeves and a bag-o-guns.

Yes, if the weather continues hot and oppressive I will probably be in shirt and singlet (that's a doublet without the arms for you philistines out there), and no mask or make-up for as long as I can get away with it!

So devilishly hot... such damned oppresive heat... I feel like Im in an old b/w movie with some stalwart British stiff upper lip types struggling through the desert.
Can't work much at all-its very very hard being creative when your boiled alive.
I think we are all waiting for cooler weather!

The sort of weather that I used to call '"Oh? You laughed at this kit when it was chilly didn't you?" weather'.

Reminds me, I need new sandals.

Yes indeedy ... that being said, when I play humans I can at least get away with wearing less or more as the weather dictates. Playing non-humans I feel obligated to conceal as much skin as possible.
