On Saturday I scuttled up to the Big Smoke to visit with
jul1et and
s0b. Dinner was, as ever, a rather splendid affair (although when offering to help I really must try to remember to read the recipe next time), with the only hilarious disaster (aside from my inability to cut crusts off bread or, indeed, to slice bread in a straight line) being the Black Forest Gateux ... this nevertheless provided a significant amount of entertainment which, I am led to believe, may well be popped up on YouTube at some point.
There was significant consumption of wine, sherry, cocktails and cheese with the net result that J and I stayed up rabbitting until 6.30am.
I awoke at lunchtime to be treated to a tasty lunch before we plunged into a WoW-hole for the remainder of the afternoon. One particular high point was an Alliance character who had been following us as we cleared a path to our destination making the very poor decision of attacking a Horde NPC when at the very top of a particularly tough pyramid. S's shout of glee had us all flagged up and nuking the irritating little Nelf before she could say "oops". We bumped into her again a few minutes later when she followed us into a cave (still flagged after rezzing) with much the same result ... we didn't see her again funnily enough. Sadly this meant that S's honour score went over 666 but it was a worthy sacrifice.
Later we lolled in front of the television watching Best of Top Gear and eating far, far too much Indian take away. Really I'm not sure quite how I managed to fit into the car for the drive home.
Many thanks to my lovely hosts for a wonderful weekend.
