What do you think happens after you die?
I believe that the soul lingers around the body for a few days, after which it blends into a sort of soul-pool, awaiting it's next incarnation. I don't believe this is the case for enlightened beings, though I have no clue what happens to them.
Do you believe in heaven?
In a manner of speaking, yes ... but certainly not in the classical sense.
Do you believe in hell?
I believe that what we experience shortly after death is very much of our own making. I don't believe that either heaven or hell is a permanent state though.
Do you think you will be judged after you die?
Only by myself.
How many people would attend your funeral?
Probably very few.
Would you rather that people cry or laugh at your funeral?
I would rather they did both actually, laughing for me, crying for themselves.
What's better? A shot in the head or downing pills?
I have no idea, I'm not a medic. If the question is swift and painful or slow and painless, I'd go with the painless option every time. I hope to enter death with no fear or pain to disrupt the journey.
What should be written on your tombstone?
"That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange aeons even death may die."
Would you rather die childless or divorced?
If I don't die childless then something has gone very, very wrong somewhere.
Do you want to die in the morning, afternoon, or night?
I think dying in the morning would be rather lovely, but given my usual state before noon I suspect the thought is rather more pleasant than the actuality.
If you had a million dollars to leave, who would you leave it to?
Friends and the children of friends.
What kind of flowers do you want at your funeral?
Wildflowers.
On your deathbed, which moment will you most remember?
Probably being in the arms of the man I love.
Have you ever watched someone die?
Yes, my father.
What's the most gruesome death you can imagine?
Being slowly crushed.
How often do you think about death?
Once a month, perhpas a little more.
Is fear of dying your number one fear?
No, spiders are my number one fear, then depths, then pain ... dying is quite a long way down the list.
Do you believe in reincarnation?
Yes.
Have you ever wished someone you loved were dead?
No.
Do you consider life short or long?
It depends on my mood, generally I think it's short.
Do you think you have a soul?
Yes.
Assisted suicide for a terminally ill person is:
Something that should be approached very carefully so as to protect the rights and well-being of everyone involved.
If you were cremated, where would you like your ashes?
In a bluebell wood somewhere in West Sussex.
Would you choose to be immortal, if you could be?
Yes.

Date: 2004-08-05 04:54 am (UTC)I feel like the beauty of reincarnation would be that the important bit survives - can't explain better I don't think - I am not very clear about much of this, mostly because I think I have kind of intuitive feelings about this subject rather than clear rational thoughts!
