I am only very slightly worried by this ... but it seems so utterly apt that I had to 'fess up to it.

1. If you could have plastic surgery, what would you have done?
Whatever needed doing at the time. I'm fairly happy with my body but there are imperfections here and there that I'd like to remove.

2. Do you have a completely irrational fear?
Depths ... I consider my terror of spiders to be utterly rational.

3. What is the little physical habit that gives away your insecure moment?
As far as I'm aware I don't have one ... I do have a sort of half-smile that appears on my face when I'm so messed up inside that my body shuts down but I'm not sure that counts.

4. Are you a pyromaniac?
No, I like fire but I'm not keen on things being on fire that shouldn't be.

5. Do you have too many love interests?
Probably yes, though I'm not entirely sure what that means.

6. Do you know anyone famous?
Not really famous, no ... although I do regularly see people I went to college with on the telly.

7. Describe your bed.
Very ordinary, I've had the frame since I was a very small child.

8. Spontaneous or plan?
A weird combination of the two, but probably more spontaneous than anything else.

9. Do you know how to play poker?
Not really, I have a vague inkling but I also know better than to play for anythign remotely approaching money.

10. What do you carry with you at all times?
It depends what I'm doing, I don't have a good luck charm that never leaves my side.

11. What do you miss most about being little?
Opportunities.

12. Are you happy with your given name?
Not really no, I would have preferred a more masculine name ... but it's pointless to try to change your own name because then it's always pretentious and never natural. That said, my professional name (before I gave it up) used to be Allan Relph ... it was weird being called Allan (or more often Al) but kind of nice too.

13. Do you like yourself and believe in yourself?
Yes and yes ... there are improvements to be made but on the whole I like me.

14. Do transient, homeless, or starving people bother you?
That they exist bothers me.

15. Do you consider yourself to be a nice person?
No

16. Do you spend more time with your partner or your friends?
In person with my partner, virtually with my friends.

17. What's one thing you wish you could do but can't?
Have my cake and eat it.

18. What is your ideal marriage location?
St Margaret's Church, Ifield.

19. Which musical instrument do you wish you could play?
The sitar.

Leather.

The entertainment industry.

Not unless I'm specifically asked ... most people know better than to do so.

Japanese ... it is the most beautiful language.

Usually Guinness or an alcopop ... depends on my mood.

25. Have you ever pierced your body parts?
Yes, left ear (which I took out after a couple of months because it was too annoying) and both nipples (which I am perfectly happy with).

Not yet ... I know the design I want, and I know where I want it but I've not got round to it yet.

27. Would you ever admit to having done plastic surgery any kind if confronted?
Of course, why wouldn't I?

28. What's one trait you hate in a person?
Stupidity (please note this is not the same as ignorance ... which is curable).

29. What kind of watch(es) do you wear?
A rather unasuming analogue with a leather strap usually, or a waterproof digital that lights up if I'm at an event or on the beach.

30. Do you consider yourself materialistic?
Yes, I think I probably am.

31. What do you cook the best?
Curry, no question.

32. Favorite writing instrument?
MicroSoft Word ... or a projecting pencil.

33. Do you prefer to stand out or blend in?
I think I prefer to stand out.

34. What kind of books do you like to read?

35. If you won the lottery, what would you do?
Never work again.

36. What's one thing you're a sore loser at?
Actually I'm a sore loser in general.

37. If you don't like a person, how do you show it?
I am usually astoundingly rude to them.

38. Do you cry in front of friends?
I very rarely cry, if I do so then I have lost any ability at self-control so the comapny I'm in is largely irrelevant. If I shed a couple of tears then I will try to absent myself as much as possible.

39. What kind of first impression do you think you give to people?
I probably come across as an arrogant smartarse ... which just goes to show how perceptive people can be.

40. What's one thing you like to do alone?
Cook, I am very intolerant of others in the kitchen when I'm working.

41. Are you a giver or a taker?
A taker.

42. When's the last time you cried?
When Iseeyou died ... I was very deeply in character and the loss hit me like a sledgehammer.

43. Favorite communication method?
Talking face-to-face.

44. How many drinks before you're tipsy?
What a ridiculous question ... some, it varies (what a surprise).

45. Favorite kind of porn?
If you absolutely must.

46. Do you ever have to beg?
No.

47. Do you have problems changing clothes in front of friends?
No, I don't have any hang-ups about my body ... I don't have many illusions about it either.

48. What's the most painful experience you've ever had?
Breaking up with someone I truly loved ... I'm not sure that will ever stop hurting.

In other news, LJ seems to be working perfectly now ... I can only assume that the difficulty was server-side and has now been resolved.
