*boggles at the number of names, and rushes off to cross-reference with briefing document and then to jog his own memory about some of the OOC names he really ought to be able to bring to mind*
ephraim has now explained who you are: one of those people about who I have heard a lot, yet do not recall ever having met. Yes, I was at Gareth and Caroline's wedding, but to be honest I was introduced to so many new people there it's all a bit of a blur. However, ephraim reckons that he introduced us at forbinproject and westernind's wedding party in Brum, but that I was probably too drunk to remember. If that's the case I can only apologise!
Don't worry - if that were the case, I have no memory of it either. :-)
My memory is appalling at the best of times. So - getting back to NWO - I can now understand why mages carry large tomes around with them; just in case they forget who they are or who they should know...
We could really do with a photo call, because I don't actually know most of the people I need to recognise. Fortunately this time I have an IC reason that can cover it, and to be fair the refs have been very good at making the relevant introductions in the past, but I can see how it would be easy to just completely miss someone who is meant to be your best mate IC just because you didn't recognise him/her.

Although we may both have been at Gareth and Caroline's wedding.
But I have heard your name here and there, from time to time...

1 there might have been a few occasions of sniggering but surely only a very small man2 would interpret such light-heartedness as "rude".
2 an accusation that only the most imperceptive could level at either of us.
