Well just back from seeing V for Vendetta and, not having read the graphic novel, I was extraordinarily impressed. This is definately going into my Top Ten Favourite Films list, not a weak performance in the house and the characters' journeys were engrossing. Frankly Alan Moore is an idiot to remove his name from the credits, this was an awesome piece of work ... especially in view of recent political developments.

Of particular (and amusing) note, the chap on the extreme right of the Cabinet, Eddie Marsan, was in my class at drama school ... a very, very fine actor and one to watch.

I am told that Moore removed his name in protest to what happened to The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, not for V itself. I am in total agreement with you, I thought that it was brilliant.

Have also recently watched movie.
Am now reading graphic novel!
Persons with me who had read the novel also suitably impressed for two reasons; the hash that was made of Extraordinary Gentlemen and the hash we know (if we're honest) that's going to be made of Watchmen; and the fact that it got made and shown at all in the current political climate.
Persons have promised to buy me a mask for my birthday.
