In other news, I have a stinking cold ... bleurgh.

By the way, any Birmingham natives attending the forthcoming nuptial celebrations fancy a Bin-shaped house-guest?

"The special problem of HIV and Hepatitis viruses

• Every single blood donation is tested for HIV (the virus that causes AIDS) and hepatitis B and C.
• Infected blood isn't used in transfusions but our test may not always detect the early stages of viral infection."

we have one bed space left in our living room - but is other side of Brum - so if you get a King's Heath based offer I would take that first and use us as back up (I'll probably be driving there and back, but not sure we can fit 5 in my little car and we may be leaving early)

It's something I've felt is wrong for some time, even though I had a friends father die of aids got through a blood donation (before screaning). We don't have enough donations yet there are more ways to stop people than to encourage them. Like anyone that has had a transfusion can't donate anymore either.

Do they allow gays and bisexuals to donate organs?

I can put you up but perhaps not in any great comfort...

[livejournal.com profile] ephraim and I aren't quite Birmingham based (and certainly not natives!!!), but we're close enough to be planning on getting a taxi home after the do. You're welcome to come and stay if you wish.
