Food Glorious Food
Oct. 8th, 2003 01:52 amFinally I can eat again ... I have undertaken a David Blaine-like challenge of not eating since Monday morning and was finally able to have food at 3pm this afternoon (Tuesday), lord the relief!
Today's procedure was as unpleasant as you'd expect and you find me, gentle reader, feeling somewhat used and abused. However, despite the discomfort I am alive and well and have vowed never again to take Picolax as long as I live! I took Neil Gaiman's 'Neverwhere' to the hospital with me for some light reading during my conscious moments. It really is a fantastic novel, but then he is a fantastic novelist, probably one of the finest creative minds this sceptred Isle has produced for some time although I suspect he nicked a lot of his material from
Sexbat.
Have just finished a very satisfying game of EQ ( a rare occurence these days) but I'm missing my usual cronies. LDoN is great but it does make casual grouping with friends difficult.
The Fox phoned earlier to offer metaphorical chicken soup and be generally motherly. Very sweet but I felt obliged to give him a hard time about it, whether through deviltry or a genuine desire to avoid aquiring a second parent I shall leave open to discussion (though not here if you please). I also spoke to
Sexbat about the Wake and characters and plot. We will be meeting again soon I think to discuss these matters in more depth, the more I talk to him about the project, the more enthusiastic I become. Updates will almost certainly be posted in
Sexbat's journal.
And now tis time for bed.
