Yesterday I sent an audition tape (well, MP3 for which a meelion thanks are due to the Fox for setting the hardware up) to a video games company who are looking for voice actors to work on their next game. Current feedback is that they quite liked the audition and are looking for a couple of English accents to play their villains and they're thinking of asking me to do a script reading for them.

To say I'm excited about this would be putting it very mildly.

Mustn't get too excited though, many a slip 'twixt cup and lip as they say.

By the way, too late for christmas now but if you haven't already been to the Witchwood Workshop site, go there now. Very nice things at very nice prices, made by the especially lovely catpookacatpooka.
Hmm, things move fast in the world of PC games. So they want to know if I have an hourly rate and whether I have a buyout fee (a flat fee that hands the company ownership of what I do in the studio for them). I confess that in matters of this sort I have not the faintest clue. Can anyone offer any advice on places to look to get a decent guesstimate and/or any advice in general about this stuff?
