Two-nic

Yesterday and today the Fox and I made a tunic for NWO. Although he doesn't seem to think that his contribution was that great, without him the finished garment would have been the wrong size, had the wrong edging and would have taken about three times as long as it did. Also, the process of designing and making it would have been a real chore. As it is the experience was mostly a lot of fun.

Don't get me wrong, this item of clothing wasn't terribly complex, I imagine that certain of the people reading this would have been able to run up a far superior version in less than half the time. However, it was created by us and is therefore infinitely more wondeful than the most perfectly tailored garment would be.

Beyond Role and Play is a collection of articles by researchers and role-playing game enthusiasts from seven countries, made for the Nordic role-playing convention Solmukohta 04 in Helsinki, Finland. The theory section consists of articles that are mostly of interest to researchers, practice includes tried and true tools for both game designers and players. Games holds descriptive reviews of coompleted projects and analyses of a number of Nordic larps, and finally openings provokes with radical new ideas that are of equal interest to both researchers and game masters.

The book is edited by Markus Montola and Jaakko Stenros, and it also includes texts from Edward Choy, Martin Ericsson, Tova Gerge, J. Tuomas Harviainen, SatuHeli, Thomas Duus Henriksen, John H.
