Stolen from pax_draconispax_draconis.

Think back; think back to a point when you were about, say, nine or so. Now think forward again, and remember how you imagined the future would be. When you were nine:

(1) What did you think life after the year 2000 would involve?
I thought that space travel would be a routine reality for everyone and that we'd have started to colonise most of the major bodies in this solar system and would be sending exploratory missions to other stars.

(2) What's the biggest omission?
World peace ... I pictured a united Earth pitting itself against the universe.

(3) What do you wish had happened that has not?
For income to be irrelevant as robots took over all labour and people could choose to spend their time how they wished.

(4) What didn't you want to happen that has?
For incredible advances in medicine to be available only to those who live in the developed world and/or have the income to pay for them.
