Glark!

For a truly mind-boggling list of the programs that will experience errors if you are unfortunate enough to download Windows XP Service Pack 2 see here. For added laughs check out how many Micro$oft applications won't run ... and you won't be able to install anything else because InstallShield won't work!

Hmmm, how much of a scare story is this? It does say probably, are microsith just covering their arses, or is this a real problem?

Mark W: Blimey that list has almost tripled in size in the last few days, good thing I've got Zone Alarm pro up and running. Think I'll leave it till they bring out SP2.1 or SP2.2.

I see one version of Zone Alarm is on the list - there goes my security.

Time to turn off downloaiding updates for a few weeks I think - until the CD version of SP2 starts to appear on magazines anyway.

Meh! I have been using XP SP2 for about a month now and have no problems! Then again I also use the latest MS Office 2003 (oh yes powerpoint 2003 which is on that list included) and it is all fine. Not that if zone alarm is your firewall then just upgrading to v 5.1.011 will fix this. Although I wouldn't recommend zone aarm as being all that good... but tis better than windows built in one. Mcafee Viruscan also works fine etc etc...

But I guess these are just my experiences...
