For those who are interested, I've transcribed the two pieces of online rules for Cataclysm LRP:

• Basic Rules


• Character Ability Development

They're pdf files so you'll need a reader to look at them but on the bright side it isn't the arcane (not to mention godsawful) Snapshot viewer nonsense you need to download from the Cataclysm site itself.

If you've got any questions about the system go visit the Forums and ask there ... they won't bite, honest.

As to what the system is like/about I'm sorry, I haven't a clue. I've been drawn in by the lure of a cool character concept, seeing some old friends, and camping in a location that I am really very fond of.

Well, it's not as if my impending familial situation allows me to go to LRP anyway, even one on my doorstep, but the fact that they insist you use an apparently Windows-only viewer for their documentation really puts them on my "no chance" list. What idiot had that brilliant idea?

Looking at the website, it's been built (poorly) by a content management system ... this leads me to believe that the actual authors of the stuff there no absolutely nothing about putting stuff on the internet. I'm sure it was ignorance, not maliciousness (or, worse, Micro$oft cultists).
