WTF is up with IE?

Further to my previous missive, I've made a start on the map thing and it works perfectly with Firefox ... for some reason though, half the links don't show up on Internet Exploder! If anyone can shed any light on why IE is refusing to acknowledge all the spots I'd be very grateful ... this is ridiculous.

Preliminary effort can be found here with cities on the extreme west having links ... and a number of them are simply placeholders.

I may need to take the Flash option ... who would have thought things would be this difficult?
